We had minimum day schedule last Friday, so there really wasn't much progress. However, today was another incredible day of seeing the power of the 20% Passion Project. Now that students have begun formulating their project around the question they are seeking an answer to, the management is much easier and the conversations are much deeper. This won't be a dissertation - just a quick update for anyone looking to see progress in the 20% time project.

I hope that Mark Wagner has changed the way that my classroom views school. At CUE 2012, I had the opportunity to attend his presentation about the Google 20% project, or 20% time. This was intriguing, but there was no way that I could do it in my classroom. With the students that I had and the standards that I had to cover as mandated by my school, district, county, and state, there was just no way. Those types of projects would have to wait until the summer or whenever the motivated students found time.
