On the drive home from the CUE Rockstar Lake Tahoe conference, my head hurt. Normally, headaches evade me. This time, it didn't feel like a headache. No, it felt like my brain was about to explode. My head felt more like there was a lot of pressure rather than a thumping, pounding pain of agony. This was far different. The scientists out there would debunk my next statement, but it really did feel like my brain was full. Never before have I attended or presented at a conference where I learned so much and made so many connections as I did this week in Lake Tahoe. The drive was well worth it
"A number of people" have asked me to write a blog post with my CUE Rockstar reflection, so I needed to oblige.

Recently, my family supported me in a professional move to a high school 70 miles away from where we have been for 7 years. I'm thrilled to start this next chapter at a school that is strong in tradition and with a principal who sees the need to provide students with the best opportunities available. My wife is really the only one who had a say in whether or not we would go, and it meant bringing her closer to family and college/school friends. The two boys are just interested in square footage to play in, mud to paint themselves with, and food to smother in and all over their mouths. Honestly, it was tough to displace the three people I love the most, away from their friends that have become so close (as well as mine). However, it was a necessary move.
